- QSU includes the fulfilment of clearly-defined customer requirements for our products and services.
- QSU is everybody’s job. Targeted training supports employees in their activities and responsibilities.
- Measurable goals and the balanced scorecard enable us to measure our success. The achievements we strive towards are achieved as team reliably, loyally and with initiative and self-monitoring by all employees (using our internal customer-supplier principle).

- It is our goal to continually improve our QSU performance: We continually implement EQV (our results-orientated quality improvement programme), improve working conditions to maintain health and safety and regularly monitor our environmental footprint.
- We encourage environmental protection and quality in our suppliers and customers and see environmental protection as a shared task. In the case of our suppliers we give preference to practices such as the use of environmentally-friendly transportation.
- voestalpine Stahl Service Center GmbH commits itself to maintaining all relevant legal and government regulations. (including environmental and safety conditions). The standards we have reached are the starting point for further improvement.
- We have an open and matter-of-fact dialogue with our employees, neighbours, official agencies and the interested public about the environmental issues which affect us. We want to create trust with our active environmental policy.
- Every employee is equally obliged to strive towards quality and health and safety in the same way. It is the obligation of the managerial staff to provide the prerequisites for the achievement of these undertakings and in this they lead by example.
