The annual production of high quality steel billets and blooms in Donawitz is about 1.5 million tons. A wide range of steelgrades for high requirements is produced on the classical way sintering plant - blast furnace - desulfurisation - LD-process - secundary metallurgy - continuous casting - billet rolling.
We can comply domestic and foreign standards as well as specific customer demands in poducing steel types with a five-percent maximum alloy content. With two up-to-date vacuum degasing plants we can can reach low hydrogen and oxigen levels.
