Furthermore, laboratories in the field of mechanical and technological examinations and metallography are available.

Nearly 80 % of the R&D activities are strongly related to the production processes and to the customers.

The rest is focussed on the applied basic research, which is mainly carried out together with external research institutes and universities. The company is member of competence centres and R&D networks.
Furthermore, it runs co-operations with the Christian Doppler Laboratories in Austria and with several European research groups (e.g. RFCS).
