voestalpine Stahl GmbH operates a fully integrated metallurgical facility in Linz that is one of the most modern in Europe. The focus here is on the production of high-quality steel strips and heavy plates. Subsidiary companies located at the facility in Linz specialize in longitudinally slitting and cross-cutting in order to supply products for direct application at the customer.

For logistical reasons, the geographical location of Linz in Central Europe is favorable for the existing high-consumption markets of Western Europe as well as for the markets in Eastern Europe that are currently marked by heavy growth. Excellent roadway and railway connections as well as a company-owned river port on the Danube directly at the Linz location also have an extremely positive effect on the logistics processes.
