Very impressive!

voestalpine Stahl GmbH was awarded for its achievements as part of a project to promote safety and health at work.

In January 2017, voestalpine Stahl GmbH sponsored events for more than 1600 employees in an effort to sensitize them to the topic of health and safety at work. These efforts have now been awarded with a prize named "Alle!Achtung!" The prize has a German name taken from an insurance firm's (AUVA) corporate magazine title: "Alle!Achtung!"

The award was proudly received by Member of Management Board Pauline Seidermann on behalf of voestalpine Stahl GmbH and was presented by AUVA Deputy Chairman Friedrich Pöltl and AUVA Provincial Director Marina Pree-Candido.

The event was very successful and provided a very solid start for groundwork that is still to be carried out in the Technical Services and Energy department in its effort to achieve higher levels of safety and health. The focus of the events ranged from avoiding injuries to hands and fingers by selecting the right protective gloves, to the optimum posture when lifting and carrying to presentations on health topics. The objective of voestalpine is crystal-clear: an increased health rate and a decreased accident rate. We want all of our employees to return home safe and sound after a day at work.
