Steel for Zurich
voestalpine Steel & Service Center and Debrunner AG of Switzerland have enjoyed many years of successful cooperation in the area of construction. The newest example of successful cooperation: Zurich Airport
The increasing passenger numbers and changing infrastructures made it necessary to make alterations to the passenger car drop-off area at the Zurich Airport. A new generous roof was designed in the course of the building renovation. The roof design is a classic steel structure with elements from Linz and in a new cooperation with Debrunner AG. Passengers in Zurich will be welcomed under the new voestalpine roof beginning in June 2016.
107 tons of plasma-cut shapes, many of them with welding edge preparation, have been supplied by voestalpine Steel & Service Center. The length of the cut shapes is between 8 and 13 meters at a width of 8 millimeters. Thanks to the partnership with Debrunner AG, special requests and material demands can be optimally met. The professional completion of such projects and the high quality of materials, processing and competent customer consultation are the reason that Debrunner AG and many other customers continue to express their satisfaction with the performance of voestalpine.
