Embraco belongs to the Whirlpool Corporation. Worldwide, the company manufacturers some 32 million compressors for all types of household appliances and cooling units. In November 2017, Embraco invited its key suppliers to their Supplier Day in Joinville, Brazil. At this event, Supplier Awards were handed out in six categories. The voestalpine Steel Division was very pleased to receive the award as best supplier in the “Steel” category. The previous year, parent company Whirlpool also presented us with the award for best quality supplier.
The voestalpine Steel Division supplies Embraco with highly efficient electrical steel strip and hot-rolled steel strip for their compressors. isovac®is an innovative electrical steel strip for energy-efficient motors. Our hot-rolled deep-drawing grades are ideal for highest forming requirements when producing housing.
