Alloy Steel Grades

The term "alloy steel" is the standard term referring to steels with other alloying elements in addition to carbon. Common alloy additions include manganese, nickel, chromium, molybdenum, vanadium, silicon, boron or copper in quantities greater than those for carbon steels. The alloying additions enhance mechanical properties, machining characteristics, or other steel characteristics.
