Tubular parts for seat belt pretensioner
The voestalpine Rotec Group manufactures tubular components for seat belt pretensioner for leading suppliers of restraint systems.
These parts are produced on a facility integrating different operations.
Cold drawn precision steel tubes manufactured at the same location will be cut to length and formed to this safety component in diverse linked operations as chamfering, bending, stamping, marking and bulging.
To fulfil the high safety requirements of the automotive customers the production process as well as the pre-material are observed and checked by several inspections.
Close co-operation with customers and mechanical engineer in terms of product development
Besides the close co-operation with the customers starting from the stage of product development a technically mature production technology is required. Together with a high qualified mechanical engineer and the customer voestalpine Rotec has developed a production machinery optimal adapted to the products requirements.
The advantage of this developed machinery: The possibility of retooling and using new developed tools guarantees the adaptation to follow-up models.
The long lasting co-operation and the therewith gained experiences are incorporated in new projects and production facilities. The voestalpine Rotec Group is already involved in the 5th product development of this safety component.
