The outer contour of a piston is responsible for fine-tunning the vehicle´s air suspension performance. Therefore pistons have to be manufactured within a very tight range of tolerances. 

For these requirements the voestalpine Rotec rotational forming process offers  - compared to processes heavy on tooling - the advantage of contour design without large efforts in terms of time and cost almost up to the start of serial production.
