Welded cold drawn precision steel tubes acc. to EN10305-2

Precision steel tubes acc. to EN10305-2 (DIN 2393) are manufactured through cold forming of durch Kaltumformung stretch form reduced or HFI-welded prematerial. The forming whereby diameter as well as wall thickness is reduced is done by cold drawing.

There are multiple applications:

Welded drawn tubes are used as vessel and cylinder tubes in the prodution of shock absorbers.

In other fields the tubes acc. to EN10305-2 (DIN 2393) are used as cardan shaft, rubber-to-metal parts, drive shafts or cam shaft tubes.

The use of welded precision steel tubes acc. to EN 10305-2 are defined through special technical features as

  • high dimensional accuracy for inside and outside diameters
  • restricted wall thisckness tolerances
  • smooth surfaces achieved by drawing
  • good concentricity
  • improved strength characteristics from cold forming
  • option of any dimension
