Friction welding - a form of the pressure welding technology – is successfully used at voestalpine Rotec Sülzfeld for many years.
Due to increasing demands to material and technology this technology gains in importance in more and more fields of application.

Advantages of friction welding:

• Joining similar materials
• Joining material combinations with different physical characteristics like aluminium and steel
• Further materials qualified for joining with friction welding: lead, magnesium, wolfram, nickel-base alloy etc.
