Friction welded rollers

This technique for joining parts - a form of the pressure welding technology – is successfully used at voestalpine HTI Sülzfeld for many years.
Due to increasing demands to material and technology in production this technology gains in importance in more and more fields of application.

Advantage of friction welding:

• Joining similar materials
• Joining material combinations with different physical characteristics like aluminium and steel
• Further materials qualified for joining with friction welding: lead, magnesium, wolfram, nickel-base alloy etc.
