RFID-tags are minuscule chips containing an identification code that can be remotely read out. RFID may be regarded as the more advanced successor of the bar code. Its main advantages are that it can store more information, that it can be integrated into the track components practically invisibly, and that it is not necessary to scan the code to read the information. |
A digital register offers the railway operator a full overview of the railway system and its maintenance requirements.
