Metal Products and Solutions

voestalpine Polynorm is an expert in the production of deep drawn parts from sheet metal. Both aluminium and steel can be processed in the factories in Bunschoten (The Netherlands) and Schwäbisch Gmünd (Germany). The deep drawn process lends itself well for the production of complex geometries in large series.

In order enhance the service portfolio of the voestalpine Polynorm Group it is continuously looking for new business fields. In the new Product-Market-Combination “Industrial Applications” the voestalpine Polynorm Group uses its expertise in processing steel, aluminium and special steels to provide solutions to sectors like renewable energies or building, using the same techniques and capabilities as in the automotive industry.

voestalpine Polynorm has developed an aluminium housing for a solar collector, called iWAN. iWAN is a highly advanced, standardized metal trough for Solar Thermal flat-plate collectors . iWAN is produced by using deep drawing technology, which is a lead production process known from the Automotive industry!
