Pressing

voestalpine Polynorm Plastics uses different kinds of materials to produce high quality applications. These materials are Sheet Moulding Compound (SMC), Glassmat Reinforced Thermoplastics (GMT) and Long Fibre Thermoplastics (LFT).

To produce our large variety of products we have installed up-to-date machinery at our facilities. All our presses are hydraulic portal presses and reach from 200 to 2500 tons. We also have productlines that operate totally automatic including inline Quality Control. Of course we also have machinery for our assembly work. 

Process engineering

At voestalpine Polynorm Plastics there are teams of engineers with extensive experience in the design and manufacturing of composite applications for the automotive industry. voestalpine Polynorm Plastics is constantly developing the production processes by research into new materials and new production techniques.

voestalpine Polynorm engineers are also responsible for the implementation of new, advanced production equipment. In order to achieve the best results for our customers our people work close to the production unit, the product development team and the material suppliers.
