This includes project management, product development, design & engineering, tool & equipment, production start-up, series production as well as phase out & spares.

Each of these stages requires a different approach, to alleviate or eliminate possible bottlenecks. Sharing the task of identifying and alleviating these critical points will shorten time-to-market and increase productivity and thus revenue.

Engineering

During all phases of the Production Life Cycle of a car a professional team is required to support all these phases.

Designing

The basis for high standard products starts with its design.

We are able to correct and optimise the tooling following the wishes of our customers. voestalpine Polynorm is well-known for performing these projects quickly and accurately.

Blanking and pressing

The voestalpine Polynorm BV press shop can provide its customers with a wide range of services and products with regard to blanking and pressing. A production unit for blanking and a press shop with 6 hydraulic press lines enable the customer to turn to voestalpine Polynorm BV for all its press requirements.

Assembly

In the Assembly department pre-formed outer-, inner- and structural parts are assembled into doors, bonnets, boot lids and other body parts for different automotive manufacturers. To provide our customers with high-quality products we use various production means and techniques such as:

  • clinching
  • sealing
  • different types of welding
  • laser cutting
  • laser welding
  • universal automated assembly cells

E-coating

In the Electro-Coating department, (assembled) car-bodyparts such as doors, bonnets and wings are pretreated and electro-coated in a fully automated dipping line. This line consist of a logistic system with different loading and unloading stations, a series of treatment baths (pretreatment and e-coat) and of course a curing oven.

Quality control

With accuracy and caution we take care of the quality of our products.

To measure the dimensions of our products we have one Computer Aided Measuring machine and two manual machines. With these measurements we are able to control the customer's high quality standards and to interfere prematurely where necessary.

With modern equipment we measure the quality of our material and the quality of our E-Coating process.
