Crane rail is specifically designed to carry heavy loads at low speeds. It is similar to tee rail with a thicker web and larger head. Light wheel loading using wheel diameters of less than 12 inches are serviced by standard A.S.C.E. rail sections in crane track arrangements.

The most common for this purpose are:

• 30 lb. A.S.C.E.
• 40 lb. A.S.C.E.
• 60 lb. A.S.C.E.
• 80 lb. A.S.C.E.

To order crane rail please specify:

• Rail section required
• Total length required and preferred lengths (33 ft. or 39 ft.)
• Number of joints required with matching heat treated bolts and washers
• Special cuts or drilling required

Nortrak can provide a variety of crane rail accessories. Flat seated crane rail plates are available for any size rail to allow spiking of rail to wooden ties.
