September 2009: Another Celebration of 25 years of Service
On January 23, 1984, Gord Weatherly joined Nortrak as a Loader Operator and on September 10, 2009, Gord Weatherly was recognized by Sylvain Garneau, CEO, for his 25 years of dedicated service to Nortrak. At the annual Nortrak Employee Appreciation Day in Cheyenne, Sylvain spoke of Gord’s long and fruitful journey through eleven different job assignments and promotions to reach his current position as Vice President, Sales for all Class I customers.
In the early years, Gord’s abilities and commitment to Nortrak were recognized by Al Tuningley who offered him the opportunity to make a career shaping move into sales as the Sales Representative in Ontario, Canada. His professional growth and development continued and was recognized by being promoted to the position of Sales Manager, Richmond. Later he served as Plant Manager in Richmond and then became the VP Sales, Richmond.
When Nortrak built the plant in Cheyenne, Gord’s next assignment brought major changes in his personal life when he committed to a long term move to Cheyenne, Wyoming to be the Vice President, Sales. Gord is married and has three children Sean, Michelle and Madyson. More recently Gord has become a U.S. citizen, of which he is very proud.
Over the years Gord has been known for his dedication in every position he has held. Not only is he noted for his achievements in Sales but Gord is recognized as a leader in the Company and a wise and trusted advisor to whom many in Nortrak turn to for his wise counsel.
We thank Gord for his loyalty and dedicated service to Nortrak and look forward to his many more years at Nortrak.
