March 2008: Celebration of 25 years of Service

Nortrak recently recognized and celebrated 25 years of service with the founder Al Tuningley and our first employee to reach 25 years of continuous employment, Don Klein. They were presented with special 25 year commemorative rings to show Nortrak’s appreciation for their 25 years of dedication.

Al Tuningley, founder, board member and retired president as of April 1, 2007, started Nortrak in 1981 with a single plant in Richmond, B.C. From there it grew to what it is today.

Al has many wonderful stories of growing Nortrak. Al is currently spending time with his family and doing a considerable amount of traveling, this time for pleasure. We know that he is also into other adventures based on his dynamic personality.

Don Klein started his career at Nortrak on October 12, 1981 as a Truck Driver in our Richmond, B.C. plant. He was also involved with offsite crane operations throughout Western Canada. During that time Don also performed some supervisory functions until 1991 when he went into the Tool Room where he resides today.

Don has lived most of his life in B.C. and has acreage in the Fraser Valley where he lives with his wife Netty and daughter Amanda. He loves everything that B.C. has to offer to an avid outdoors person such as Don. His love of hunting and fishing as well as his love of horseback riding on his own horse “Ally” is fulfilled in his many explorations throughout B.C.

Don is a valued employee of Nortrak and is well respected by both Management and his peers.

Congratulations Don on your 25 Years of Service with Nortrak. Your dedication and the level of service that you have given in the past and continue to give today are truly appreciated.

We all thank Al for his vision for Nortrak and allowing us to share in that vision and continued growth.
