  • Building reflects the innovative power and flexibility of voestalpine

Linz/Cologne. Awards for voestalpine Stahl GmbH‘s innovative and top-quality steel products have become par for the course. However, the company has now received a more unusual prize at ORGATEC, the major international trade show for office design. voestalpine Stahl GmbH's new headquarters in Linz have been awarded the prize “Best Office 2010“. The jury considered the project for 400 members of staff, managed by M.O.O.CON® and planned by the architecture company Feichtinger Architectes, to be particularly worthy of the prize due to its positive effect on communication and innovation.

Together with ORGATEC (major international show for offices and facilities) and in cooperation with the Institute of Ergonomics at Darmstadt University of Technology (IAD), the renowned German magazine “Wirtschaftswoche” is awarding prizes for future-orientated office designs for the fourth time.

The prizes are awarded to companies which are introducing new ways of communicating in their office buildings and, in addition to cost-effectiveness, also consider the wellbeing of staff, construction methods which conserve resources and organisational flexibility.

All of these criteria have been met at the new Sales and Financial Headquarters of voestalpine AG’s steel division in Linz. Integrated into one campus with the company headquarters and “voestalpine Stahlwelt', the new building forms the portal to the voestalpine site in Linz.

When designing the Sales and Financial Headquarters for voestalpine Stahl GmbH, the focus was on creating a sustainable property which considers the requirements of staff, customers and operators in equal proportion. The steel material has proven its diverse utility as a high-quality modern product in this project.
