voestalpine demonstrates broad-based competence in tubes and wire

8 March 2012 |

Become acquainted with the leading technologies and innovations from voestalpine in market comparison: Several of the Group's companies will be represented at the “Tube” and “wire” exhibitions being held on March 26-30, 2012, in Düsseldorf – the leading trade fairs for both the tube industry and the wire and cable industry.

“Tube”: Hall 3, Stand C18

voestalpine Tubulars will be presenting VAroughneck, the new premium thread connection specially designed for extended-reach wells in the oil and gas industry. The company is also represented with high-quality concepts in the area of boiler and heat exchanger tubes, mechanical tubes, automotive tubes and with its well-known ToughTubes – thermo-mechanically rolled, seamless steel tubes with outstanding weldability, strength, toughness and cold forming properties as well as improved surface quality and grain structure.

voestalpine Krems, the established manufacturer of cold-rolled steel tubes and sections, will also be present in Düsseldorf with a new roll forming system for highly complex structural components in vehicle construction that unite reliability with long service life. The system permits highly efficient production of complex component geometries, in particular in ultra-high-strength steel grades. In addition, the company will for the first time be presenting the new product VA Therm to the selected trade public. This is a new steel section for door and portal construction which ensures high thermal efficiency and easy processing.

The automotive industry will this year once again be especially interested in the tube plate components such as turbocharger support struts from voestalpine Rotec, which are remarkable for their precise tolerances and can be installed directly in the engine.

"wire": Hall 10, Stand A40-09

Products from voestalpine Austria Draht and voestalpine Draht Finsterwalde will be proving their outstanding quality at the “wire” exhibition: The broad spectrum extends from wire rod through drawn and profile wire all the way to prestressed steel.
