Investigations of the German Federal Cartel Office

voestalpine AG hereby informs that on May 11th the (German) Federal Cartel Office conducted an inspection at the office of voestalpine Klöckner Bahntechnik GmbH in Duisburg, which is active inter alia in the trading of rails for the Division Railway Systems in Germany.

The reason for the inspection are possible anti-competitive practices in the German market for rails. A further inspection took place on May 12th at the office of the rail producer TSTG Schienen Technik GmbH & Co KG in Duisburg. As for yesterday’s inspection at the offices of voestalpine Klöckner Bahntechnik GmbH the reason for the inspection are possible anti-competitive practices in the German market for rails.

voestalpine AG takes these allegations seriously and will openly and fully cooperate with the authorities. Further information can currently not be provided.
