The Metal Forming Division is a leading global manufacturer of welded tubes and hollow sections, open special sections, as well as custom-made special tubes and precision parts, which are of the highest quality. The division provides the automotive industry and well-respected suppliers with a complete range of pressed parts in the body-in-white segment as well as highly innovative structural components. Additionally, it produces cold-rolled special strip steel with a high degree of dimensional stability, extremely tight tolerances, and excellent surface qualities. The division is also a provider of sophisticated product solutions in the segments of high-bay warehouses, system racks and road safety and also operates in the energy and heating industry.

Customers

The division’s flexible, mid-sized units have the expertise to provide their customers with fast solutions to problems in all phases of the development and production process. Among their customers are practically all of the leading manufacturers in the automotive and automotive supply industries, with a definite focus on the premium segment, as well as numerous companies in the commercial vehicle, construction, storage, energy, and (agricultural) machinery industries. The division maintains long-term customer relationships with most of its key customers—as does the voestalpine Group overall—and offers the advantage of customer-oriented research as well as a unique combination of material and processing expertise.
