Hot pressing

Pre-material for hot pressed heads are rolled heavy plates or clad plates produced in-house.

A round blank is cut of the plate - a flat circular disc.

The round blanks are heated in a walking beam furnace up to press temperature (800 - 1,000 degrees Celsius).

Hot pressing of the head is done in a waterhydraulic press with a press force of 3,500 mt.

For multi-piece heads, cones and special pressed parts specific tolls are used.
