Cold leveling

Flatness is an important quality criterion for heavy plates. Non uniform plastic deformation during hot rolling or uneven cooling cause internal stresses which can lead to unflatness of the plate. The most frequent faults are transverse waves as well as waves in the center and at the edges. These phenomena are removed by cold leveling which brings the plates to the required flatness level.
