Cam units
Application advantages of cam units
* Patented System Europe: EP 1 197 319 _____________________________________________________ * US-Patent: US 7,114,364 _____________________________________________________
- Excellent slide combination due to the optimal material mating of maintenance-free sliding elements WF-750 - bronze with graphite as a solid lubricant, in combination with a spheroidal graphite iron GGG 70 or 42CrMo4. All sliding tracks are hardened and precision ground
- Due to this excellent slide combination, minimal wear and long lasting life is guaranteed
- Exact guiding guarantees high precision and a minimal wear of the punching tools
- High stability against side-cross forces due to V-way location of sliding plates WF 750
- Wear parts can be removed or adjusted in the tool without removing the whole cam unit, even under the press
- All sliding elements are braced
- Adjustable without sliding track tolerances
- cam unit reset by means of an adjustable force. Delivery condition-charged with a force of 150 bar (see retractility chart). The remaining reset forces of the cam unit are in preparation.The striking face opposing the gas spring is cast as one solid piece
- Gas springs can be removed in the tool / stamping press from the back and from the bottom
- Gas springs available with variable force
- The cam unit's base and top is machined on all sides, allowing an easy and exact mounting of the cam unit. Braced sliding areas machined with 0,02 mm tolerances
- By using form-closed side plates, there is no force on the mounting screws and better guidance
- The elongated holes in the side plates allow the side plates to move in the direction of the stroke. The side plates have a 1° offset. By moving the side plates, the clearance can be adjusted to compensate for wear on the side plates and extend service life
- "Positive return" on both sides of the cam unit
- Other types in different sizes are in development
- Meets and exceeds all of 'NAAMS'' cam requirements
