In realizing the safety concept for the 2003 World Championships, 4 steel culverts were included in the World Championships downhill slopes to enable tourists to cross under the slopes safely.

4 underpasses with a total weight of 126 tons and a total length of 290 m were installed in October/November 2000 and in July 2001. The underpasses featuring 12 bends in total are used as lockable garages for snow guns in summer.
