Corrugated Steel Pipes
For the construction of forestry and freight roads, for culverts and creek pipings. Spiral corrugated and grooved steel pipes from Krems have been successfully employed for many years in the most diverse applications. In particular, they are ideal as viable, rapid, economic solutions with lasting value, for constructions close to nature.
Foundations are not necessary. The pipe coils are simply placed over a ballast bed that has been compacted in accordance with our installation specifications, and properly backfilled. If longer pipes are needed, any number of individual pipe pieces can be assembled directly at the construction site by means of couplings.
Material Properties
voestalpine pipe coils are made of galvanised steel strips, in conformity with EN10215, and are continuously corrugated and grooved.
The special alloy used in the hot galvanising produces extremely high corrosion protection against a salt attack.
As an additional protection against chemical attacks, the pipe coils could also be supplied with special films or epoxy coatings.
