For more than 45 years, voestalpine has developed and manufactured guard rails and accessories.
We have developed and tested existing systems on a continual basis since the beginning, starting with the now-rare butt joint rails, up to modern containment levels for superior road networks.
We offer three different steel guard rail profiles: system 1, system 2 and, since 2005, our newly-developed system 3.
Originally, system 1 was manufactured by the former VOEST Linz, while system 2 was manufactured by Alpine in Zeltweg. Following the merger in 1973, the entire production process was relocated to Krems, where steel guard rails are still being produced.
