Precise Measurements and Evaluation
Our BWG test bed is utilized to simulate the operational load conditions. The results of measurements are then incorporated into the design of new turnout systems and individual components.
- Geometric requirements are implemented in the design of the running edges and transition areas of the turnouts via clothoids, KGO® and Delta-Kappa applications. An optimized switching system is achieved with a corresponding number of single switch machines and additional end position detectors. For this purpose, a variety of electro-mechanical switch machine systems are available.
- The operational load of turnouts (accelerations, vibrations, movements and wear) is measured on the track system, evaluated and implemented in a suitable way for practice, by measurement value logging.
- Special materials meeting the high-load demands - especially in the crossing area - have been developed in cooperation with the metallurgic industry.
- Environmentally sensitive requirements are taken into account by low lubrication switching systems (tongue rollers, HRS locking devices, coated sliding surfaces).
- The overall evaluation of all trackwork measurement data, yield equal or better results for the turnout, compared to the plain track, despite specific construction conditions of the turnouts.
